Experience one of the oldest and most well-known classic adventures from original Advanced First Edition D&D, converted to Fifth Edition rules! See where the roots of adventure lead you and your friends!

~Dungeon Module G1–2–3: Against The Giants~

Giants have been raiding civilized lands in large bands, with different sorts of giants cooperating in the same bands. Death and destruction have been laid heavily upon every place these monsters have visited. This has caused great anger in high places; therefore, a party of the bravest and most powerful adventurers has been assembled, equipped, and given the charge to punish the miscreant giants, or else place their necks on the headsman's block!

"Against The Giants" was produced by TSR Hobbies, Inc. in 1981 as a compilation of three linked adventures written by Gary Gygax that TSR originally published in 1978. These adventures, combined with modules D1–2–3 and Q1, form the first published super-campaign for OD&D. Written before even the first AD&D Player's Handbook in 1979, Against The Giants is still recognized as one of the best adventures in all of D&D's history.

This adventure will be converted directly to 5e D&D by the GM, Tycho, from the original 1981 module printing and the 5e version released in Tales from the Yawning Portal (2017)! While not an easy quest, it is an exciting, engaging and very enjoyable adventure for a higher-level party (levels 10+) of adventurers, and players who have a basic understanding of 5e D&D. Players are welcome to create their own characters or use pre-made characters.

The adventure will begin with Module G1: Steading of the Giant Chief. Adventurers who survive may continue in G2: The Glacial Rift of the Frost Giant Jarl, and G3: Hall of the Fire Giant King.

Uncover a huge plot of apocalyptic significance in the darkened depths of this action-packed adventure that is far bigger than it seems! This classic adventure will have you on the edge of your seat as victories are won and your tale of glory unfolds!

Character creation specs:

1. Ability Scores: Standard array or 27 point buy (or 3d6 in order, if you really want that AD&D feel)

2. Equipment: Standard class equipment, please! (There will be ample opportunity to purchase any additional odds and ends your character may need)

3. Resources used for character creation beyond what is printed in the 5e D&D Player's Handbook (whether official sourcebooks or unofficial home-brew/UA) must be checked with the GM (who will probably say yes)

4. Parties should be at or near the same level (Margin of 1 level)

5. New characters should be created at 10th level (Depending on other circumstances, one or more additional levels may be awarded prior to gameplay)
