LET'S PLAY SHADOWRUN 5e ONLINE

Setting: Earth, England | Year: 2352
Background: The world is still reeling from World War 4. while nuclear winter was avoided, governments collapsed as the people rallied, not realizing they were getting something much worse: Mega corporations. Multi-national tyrants who bought out entire armies and private police/military and put their bureaucratic boards in control of any territory they managed to claim.
Some countries managed to avoid the collapse, reverting instead to previous systems of government. Japan revived the Shogunate. Mesoamerica was conquered by god kings, chosen of the sun. England resurrected its long abandoned monarchy, a new king came to power who had an unbroken patrilineal bloodline to William the Conqueror. These and a few more scattered countries resisted the march of the coin obsessed con-men posing as a viable alternative.
As England is currently ruled by royalty it also must have those who do the king's will, the Royal Guard. These are agents of the crown, tasked with special missions too sensitive for military or police, too dangerous for the SAS and delicate enough to require decorum in their execution. The player characters are all recruits of the Royal Guard, they will go through training in how to deal with any situation. They will be trained to be Gentlefolk, displaying dignity, respect and poise at all times. They will be the elite of this our United Kingdom and they shall protect it until their dying breath.
All of this training of course will come in handy when they are given their first task, where a group with loose ties to a French Megacorp has been buying out all the businesses in a small northern town and anyone who opposes them starts going missing.
